Berlin-based MAGIX AG has acquired all rights to the technology and products of yellow tools – a manufacturer of software sampler technology and virtual instruments based in Karlsruhe, Germany.
Both companies say they have cooperated in the audio sector for the past four years. In 2006, MAGIX and yellow tools launched VITA 1 in Samplitude, MAGIX Music Maker, and MAGIX Music Studio. The second generation of VITA instruments followed in 2010 for MAGIX Music Maker and MAGIX Music Studio.
yellow tools says its users will hardly notice the acquisition. Product registration and activation will, for the time being, continue to take place on the yellow tools website and users will be informed in due time about any changes. Furthermore, they will try to make the changeover as user-friendly as possible.
