Hello everyone, thank you for this wonderful forum.
I need some advice, I do not know a thing about microphones!
I am a soprano and I sing at Restaurants and events, I now have a band too.
And I need to get a microphone! I've been told Sennheiser are the best.
But I don't know which model would be the best for me:rolleyes: all I know is that I want a wireless mic for more freedom on stage.
I've seen some:
e835 seems a bit cheap, I don't know ew135G2 I'm not sure if this is appropriate for me.
I need quality most of all, which microphone would be the best for Opera? (bearing in mind I cannot pay U$1000 for it)
I will appreciate your comments very much indeed!
Many thanks!
Lili.

Ok, the best mic to use is called the Crown CM-700MP and are about $250 each. The best way to mic for opera is to have a stereo pair of the same microphone about 8-10 feet away from the singer. Plug a mic cable between each mic and a phantom power supply and then plug a mic cable between each phantom supply output and the recorder mic input. You may want to look into getting a microphone mount adapter to use a single mic stand to hold both the mics. Angle the mics apart 90 degrees with the grilles spaced about 10 inches horizontally which gives you a really nice stereo sound. If it sounds too distant, move the mics closer and try again or if it is dry, move it further away...hope this helps.
