So... I wanted to record vocals with a Shure KSM 27, but it says "it requires phantom power 48v" and i was wonderin: what's this phantom power they're talkin bout? And do i need it if i have an MBox2?
Thanx

Should not be a problem. The MBox2 can provide the phantom power that the KSM 27 requires. As a general rule you should connect and disconnect the mic with phantom power off though.
phantom power is a current that runs through the XLR cable to power the mic, usually only condensers. It amps the signal, and sometimes does other things for the mic
