im connecting my newly bought headset to my soundcard Maudio Audiophile 2496 via a minimixerboard LTO s-6.
And the microphone wont work!
The strange thing is that i get other microphones to work. It seems like it is only headsetmicrophones that doesnt work...why is this?
Different signals of some kind?
Help me please

P.S. Ive tried connecting directly to soundcard as well without succes.

Do you know if your microphone is a dynamic or a condenser microphone?
In other words you might need a phantom power to get it to work.

Have you tried pluging the microphone in other devices? Did it work?

yeha its nothing wrong with the mic...im thinking of maybe installing the onboard-soundcard and try with that one....the Audiophile maybe is screwing it up....

is it a big fuss to swap between two soundcards when making music and playing games?

You can try using bot cards and configuring you audio software to use the M-audio.

If this does not work you'll have to disbale one of the cards in the control panel. But switching cards will require changing the parameters in the control pannel and rebooting.
