I bought APRS for purchasing the M Audio UNO, small simple MIDI interface with two MIDI Cables 1.50m welded to the housing, which it has even replaced an old audio / MIDI interface, M audio firewire solo.
I naturally made me confiding M Audio UNO paying, convinced of the quality of MIDI interfaces they offer, I quickly nanmoins dchant with this contraption.
While initially, aa well fonctionnau after one month sentence, the cables MIDI gear transplant vhiculait do any more info MIDI, while the MIDI interface Computer taient DTECT always by my programs.
I returned to the store I o achetqui referred it to the Service of M Audio, which after two months sent me an interface that still did not work.
As I did not want to take the head still 2 / 3 months, I left bertom and I pay a MIDI interface "old" as the MIDI SPORT 2X2.
For if the UNO, to trs not expensive, has a solution and complements mini (USB cable + Intgr) ds lchent that the cables, the thing's done, because no way to replace them.

I strongly deprecated this type of product in the long run, better to put 15 or 20 euros more, buy his Cables, as has been the time to see.

UTILIZATION

I've had prs of 6 months, and no signal, it still works like new (long-long ...)

This small compact bote does nothing less than what is asked, grate 2 simultanment MIDI devices, and it is even slightly more UBN.
Unlike many USB MIDI interfaces, and those intgres in audio sound cards, it possde function "THROUGH" that allows convenient to use, without necessarily a MIDI squenceur m me a computer.

For example, I work with an expander TRITON RACK controlled by a MIDI keyboard matre, connected to MIDI IN / OUT on the MIDI devices SPORT.2 distinct as you will understand, but can not operate a without the other.
So with almost all my other MIDI interface, or MIDI + audio, j'tais have to go through a standard software Cubase and Sonar to play with this little box, I just have a button dsappuyer to move from one mode interface "USB MIDI"
mode "MIDI THROUGH." Which means that I can play my Triton as I will, without a software or even turn on the computer, it works in stand alone, without the need to be fed or anything.

APRS galr have with this dung UNO MIDI, j'apprhendais much my new MIDI interface, so I waited a few good months before being sr as a function of the hard e, which is the case.
By consquent, if you want a simple interface, functional, with or without computer, look no further, the MIDI SPORT brilliantly performs its functions and hassle free.

What is the particular feature you like best and least? ... as: compact, no worries, the least: it makes the Lumire m'empche the night and sleep!

Exprience with, you will do again this choice? For intercace just MIDI YES! but I now find my way over to an audio interface and MIDI, I will keep all fawn

N this box is not even fucking give a correct sync

But the PC is up to standard: Intel CoreDuo2EE6600 GA965p 6GB ram-DQ6 (anyway I've tested it on the PC and mac and c is the same ....)

Drivers never updated. (We expect tjrs vista and leopard, but hey c is good to dream)

Should stop out of the gadgets in audio m and follow a few products!!

I took the lead for years to seek the cause of my worries sync, I have changed most of my config and then .....

J bought an Edirol UM3EX poufffffffff magicccccc and everything revolves round !!!!!

Value for money: NUL: is not the job simple enough that you ask him!

I have said my tests done when meem in PC and Mac and this at least 5 different configs.

Driven by: Dual input dual-output, price, size
Connected to a Yamaha P120 and a Korg Trinity
Setup: Once in XP, now with Windows 7 64bit, works fine.

UTILIZATION

Very stable drivers. To install it, however, he asked several times to install the drivers.
I happened to lose the XP driver if I change the USB port. Had to reinstall.

UTILIZATION

Is simple: it is the first product 100% plug and play I know. I've never had any problem with and every time I had a MIDI bp, because there was always a problem came from elsewhere (cubase, reaktor, etc. ...)
Midiman is pro: very good technical advice (reply within 24 hours in general by mail, it's great), drivers updated regularly. Under Win98, it's really 100% reliable

I never saturated the interface, and I mainly use this interface with my pots and Nordlead Q, which send a max of MIDI data on channels. (Not to mention the sequencer Q!)
Only problem: I've never had this problem, but it seems that it is hard to chain multiple Midisport 2 * 2. But hey, if you have 15 synths, I see no interest to buy a 2 * 2!
Small detail: the LED, which indicates whether the card is connected and is recognized by the computer: super convenient.

OVERALL OPINION

I use for 10 months. It was a very simple midi interface, and it's so good like that. I dream of a world where every computer will be as simple as this magic box

The quality / price ratio: it is a bit expensive (700 F, about, but it's USB), but since I have had no problems ...
MIDI interfaces, is typically the thing that pisses purchase: It does not add new sounds insane to its fleet of synths, one is obliged to buy, it's expensive, like good audio cables, which . But as good cables, once you have, you can not revert to the old cable horrible to 2 francs 10 meters!
The only drawback: it would make the card patch too. Like that, no problems with configs that you want to run without the computer

THe model itself is great. It's a 2x2 MIDI controller via USB. it works well. The driver, however, doesn't do sysex properly under OS 9 or OSX on macintosh. This is a bit of a disapointment when trying to use a sysex librarian to store patches, especially with the Electrix filter factory or mo-fx.

Midi controller is midi controller. it's nice b/c it's small.
