Epic SoundLab is working on a MIDI add-on that allows for controlling external devices on a Mac or PC.
Octacontrol is based on the Octamorph concept (a Kontakt instrument that morphs between 8 sound layers), but with MIDI capacities so that you can use it to control settings of compatible software via 8 MIDI CC messages.
Here’s the first demo of the Octacontrol in Reaktor to control the Spectrasonics Omnisphere:
