Published on 08/23/11 at 13:40The Digidesign D command producer’s desk is built to last. This desk and/or workstation is built to last you a lifetime in the studio. It’s pretty easy to put together and it is very sturdy for your gear. The price is pretty high for a workstation desk though, I suggest looking around the web as some of the other workstations and checking the prices out before committing to purchasing this workstation. The price of the desk is the only downfall. Besides that it will last you a lifetime in your studio.
It comes with a custom build in custom keyboard and mouse, this workstation is designed to give you a better workflow. It will make your workflow better, but only if you are using this in a bigger studio. This isn’t for the home studio producers that run pro tools. This producer’s workstation isn’t necessary for your home set up, that is why I recommend shopping around to find something that is more suitable price wise and you can have it in your home.
I am happy with the purchase that I made when choosing to go with the Digidesign D command Producers Desk, but for that price we could have had one built custom buy a local builder. The price of this workstation makes it undesirable to anyone with a budget. Because after all its not coming with a computer. Its just a desk, even though the right desk can make your workflow easier and make you more efficient. I feel that this one is a little over board price wise, Great quality and great piece of equipment, but shop around the web and find something that is more suitable for your personal studio at home. But if you have the money and you have a bigger studio, go for this one . You won’t be un happy!
