«  Super low »

Pure Japan in 1998 there has been no mass.
Flawless finish, natural wood (ash / swamp ash) varnished. Varnishes neck and body are very soft. Meca Grover big drum (like 1664), specifically solid bridge with string through option or not, as desired.
Note that the body is made of two parts and not 3 as the recent series. And the handle is a 5 room and not 3 as today.
Bolt-on neck
Spread Strings: 17mm, attention to U.S. purist!
The look: The cup body strangely resembles some Lakland ...
Weight: 5.4 kg Weakness

UTILIZATION

Quick Start, perfect balance, excellent workmanship and easy to play neck. The knobs are very accessible, the micro switch is a bit small. The jack is type foureau, excellent.
This is a simple low.

SOUNDS

Killer! Zlatanos!
There is everything you want, excellent efficiency correctors, for the soft potato knee refrain especially when you attack the proper powers that lava. Everyone compared to MM, yeah it growls at death regardless of the position of the switch and it is a mind blowing clarity. The possibility of having 2 single coil positions is welcome I have 6 bass known brands (Vigier 4 strings, Fender 4-string I 3, Warwick 5) and I had a dozen others in my life (including MM) is that there are more surprising. This is Eric CZAR who put a flea in his ear ...
Icing on the cake, no breath preamp center position.

OVERALL OPINION

I do not know the new lighter series but it seems I only read positive comments (the bodies are in 3 parts). The preamp is different too.
In any case if you come across jap watches, do not hesitate you'll get your money you still can not find (rarely) on ebay for 400 €.
I regularly use it for 4 years I shared with a stingray 5 Ernie Ball.
I do not hesitate to say that it is a professional bass.
