MGR/Dens « Ibanez EDB 605 »
Published on 11/08/02 at 15:00I live in germany in Aachen and it´s a fucked up town to get any kind of instruments. ( we only have two little stores with about 4 to 10 models to buy)
As I´ve seen the edb in the catalouge I´ve known: that´s the bass I want. But from this moment on it tooks 8!!! month until I was able to play one, but now i´m happy that´I´ve wait this long time. I´ve played it up to an hour and than I´ve given out the money (630 ) with a smile because this bass is worth.
I played in different bands, from Emo-Mosh
over hardcore to melodicpunkrock and this bass fits all the sounds I need. Only a short turn at the knobs and I can change the tone from a warm deep basstone into a cold metallic and hard sound - absolutely great. Also the bass is very heavy if you put it around but when I wear it it´s so great balanced that I could forget it. Additionally this bass looks great. A friend says it best: this bass is hardcore!
and that´s all I want. Especially the low B is wonderful without flopping or something else, it gives the "boom" to my music

Also it works great with the Ibanez PD7 Bassoverdrive effectpedal even at higher volumes. I can´t slap at any basses I´ve played before but on this I´m the king!
Here I´ve to think a longer time...
Nothing really worst on this bass,
only small things that don´t mind here...
like everybody wants to play my bass so that I can´t
The quality of this bass is really good, but after all I´ve still paid enough that I could expect that. Another great thing was that it came with elexir strings which works superb with this bass ( and now goes superb on my purse- but I love them) And let me tell you, it´s very resistant against all kind of damage. Whe´n I´m on stage I lokk like a crazy idiot. I throw my bass around me jumps up and down go stagediving and so on and of course my bass looks like this, but all the other bassmachines I´ve played befor wouldn`t take this torture as great as this one. Sometimes I think that I could punch it with all my power against a wall and all that goes bad would be the wall and my shoulder but not this bass.At the end I´ll tell you that I tune my bass every 2 month but it´s still enough because it stays in tune all the time.
After all I can say that this is "the bass" for me, of course I´ve read other reviews, where people hate this bass, but for me it´s the best I´ve could find. Test it, you´ll see what I mean!
