My Stingray 5 is black with bright matte black pickguard with a white stripe on the sidewall.

UTILIZATION

The handle is a real nectar, it seems that the fingers will slip and position alone.
The highs are easy to ACCS.
The bass is so heavy that wants to say in some forums, it is of the same prfrable use with a wide strap and many drawback (but valid for all low!).
The knobs are prcis and can quickly find a sound that suits us well.

SOUNDS

I play alternative rock and the stingray 5 rvle will be a formidable weapon.
I use a Trace Elliot amp AH400SMX and the combination of the stingray and the trace gives an incredible combination.
Sometimes I add a Sadowsky pre-amp but it's a luxury because the bass is powerful dj trs.
What about on the Stingray? Prcis, round, warm and clear. Perfect.

OVERALL OPINION

I use the stingray 5 for 5 years now.
I'm not a big fan of his form but it is a default in order to lean all the qualities it has!
Before buying it, I played on an Ibanez Ergodyne 5 string (which is a good low in itself). But the versatility of the Stingray has nothing to do.
I think the instrument is a bit expensive but the quality is paid. The bass does not move and the quality of finish is the price.
A choice, I use exactly the same Stingray 5.
