xoxos has released two new free VST plug-ins for Windows: Acoustic and Malt.
Malt (or MIDI alt) uses an LFO to alternate between two MIDI channels. Thresholds applied to the LFO define when either or both of the channels are passed. Malt is designed to be used in algorithmic MIDI sequence paths.
Acoustic is a simple acoustic body resonator model, consisting of a first order mass-spring for modeling the Helmholtz or 'air’ frequency, and a banded waveguide. Acoustic is actually a port of the body resonator model from xoxos’ Boing2 bowed string synthesizer, the company says.
