Multi-purpose full-Stereo with SIMULTANEOUSLY: 2 + effects 3 band EQ with semi-mdium paramtrique + noise gate.
The effects may be open road, with five configurations: a single effect (it to improve the rendering of reverb or the length of delays by using the power of the DSP), two effects in stro s series, two mono effects parallle, 2 parallle effects (mono inputs / outputs stromlanges), 2 Stereo effects in parallle (between St ro / O stromlanges).
4 paramtres by purpose (eg for reverb: Predelay, decay, damping = attnuation Treble level).
Effects:
-Reverbs (stage, room, hall, plate, chamber, cathedral, arena, gated, reverse)
-Modulation (chorus, flanger, phaser, tremolo, auto, leslie, pitch shift, detune = pitch shift end for a bigger sound)
-Delays (mono, stereo, table tennis, karaoke) until 2000 milliseconds; possibility to block the delay in repeat-hold delay = infinity.
Spciaux-effects (compressor, vocoder, ring modulator)
The connections are made in asymtrique jack. It occupies one rack unit. The power supply is strong enough.
The trio Studio100 possde noon (in / out / thru) and is Fully controllable noon without any difficulty with any squenceur.
UTILIZATION
No need for instructions to take it in hand, everything is described and the screen abrviations are explicit.
The shipping is fast thanks relevance paramtres adjustable.
(I also possde Quadraverb and plug-ins pro: edit an effect can take ten minutes because of the abundance of available paramtres. Here, there are only three paramtres + the level of effect. We do not embarrass the number of rglages possible, even when masi CONTRL is really what we do, unlike the effects of TC or lexicon end o more paramtres are associated on a same potentiomtres, and expressed with the words "marketing" not always speaking: we do not know what you're doing well, and n ' is not always find an empty rglage musical in some situations particulires ...).

Examples:
Compressor: threshold (60 0), ratio (1 19, then = infinite capacity), attack (1 10). This compressor is of good quality as neutral and effective than my TC M300.
Leslie ("rotary speaker"): speed (0 99), type (color), X-over frequency (frquence cutoff between the two HP turns serious and acute, 1 4).
-Vocoder: sibliance (level "S", the Phnom ncessaires comprhension), type (1 5).
SOUND QUALITY
The converters are 20 bits, as the latest ADAT.
We do not peroit aliasing: the sound is neutral, which remains silent before fraoid cold, which remains silent hot hot. Like Roland, one can reprodcher Digitech effects that lack of grain: it is always pro and music, there is absolutely no breath, but it's so mat that sometimes one would like a little more personality of "default"!
Example: the phasing and chorus, well made and a trs good mix, but we would like some more grain to smear a guitar or voice. I told my prfre Ibanez phaser pedals.
Ditto for the reverb, the reverb numriques good average of the range.
They are better than their equivalents Lexicon, but I will prfre those of M300 on my TC to the atmosphere "natural": that of the S100 are against idalie to "tweak" an instrument that lacks body ( with detune + flat), and gated possde a particular grain that makes good on most snare drums.
If your singer is anmique, your KB dull, your battery soft atmosphere, the detune of the S100 reinflates before attacking the reverb. Ditto if you run out of singers.
We feel the exprience of the Digitech SERIES with its famous "Vocalist".
Its main strength is the delays and the panner (thanks this neutrality.
I also really like the flanger, and deep end.
A multi-effects will not replace a vocoder ddi but here there are several types of filtering and number of bands for an effect that can help. The best vocoder I've heard on a multi-purpose, that of c'tait Zoom 1204 with his prampli incorporated in that modulates the incoming signal stro true (indeed, a good small multi-purpose booster, with a nice grain and a warm personality, without the breath habitiuel to Zoom)
Ditto for the "ring modulator" impossibe imitate with a multi-effect: here it is more like a SETTING THE rsonnance a frquence, which remains nanmoins trs musical INTERESTED to color and sound, default to simulate the effect of Manir raliste indicated. I made my ais ftiche effect on my bass.
TC M300 and Digitech Studio100 boxing in the same CATEGORY small multi-effects pro, fast rgler. Digitech advantage in terms of functionality (2 effects + EQ + gate), but the TC wins in terms of grain ... So while dpend needs and the equipment we have. The semi-EQ paramtrique I have often saves the day on small consoles in m'vitant back slices to Galise effects. Ditto for the possibility of routing more dveloppes the Digitech (on the TC is fixed: 1 + 1 reverb effect in parallle SERIES Stereo or mono).
OVERALL OPINION
I use it for 5 years, I bought DS because it leaves trs silent ahead of the competition in features and quality sound for the price.

If I keep my Zoom 1204, my first multi-effects, it is for grain.
I sold my Quadraverb more cause of the blast, although I love the grain (I'm waiting to find a reasonably priced SERIES 2).
I have never kept a long time diffrent Lexicon entry level I possdes!
The S100 may be the least engaging of my multi-effects (neutral too!), But there is one I use as my APRS TC M300, and one that can be as close as my regret e Quadraverb at the grain (in a chorus and a chanante hall). There is no one mix that I did not used the AIS since I possde, and it is still true today ...
