Has anyone used the Launchpad X as a controller for the free MPC Beats app/plugin?

I've tried using MPC Beats built in MIDI-Learn facilities, but I cannot figure how to get it working.
I've also tried approaching the problem from the Novation side and tried out the Components software but have drawn a blank here, as well.
Any ideas, anyone?
