« good disto trs, trs versatile »
Published on 12/01/11 at 00:40T say it all, two lamps distortion channel, I will not go.
It is big enough (a lot of space on the pedalboard), trs solid. It should also dedicates the power supply utlise (16V), so have to use a power strip.
UTILIZATION
Not really plug and play, you must spend time to find his sound. But rglages trs are effective, including legalization. The knob of mdium has its place, he is the most important on the pedals as it is for the determination between a rhythmic sound (or rather dug plutt solo (mdiums forward), it is a trade (it says 12, trs sounded good too).
We regret the absence of legalization spare for each channel, which would have really made a killing!
SOUND QUALITY
this is my 2nd distortion pedals of the APRS satchurator (not including multi-effect) and although there is no photo, dual HT is much better than the satchurator was really his lamp . I mainly use channel 2, you get both a great rhythmic IDAL for their solos. Lowering the tone of the guitar (humbucker Yamaha Pacifica), it's approaching a Santana or Gary Moore (I said you approach, eh
Ideal for all that is shred, Satriani and whatnot ... on the other hand, we forget to mtal, unless you have an equalizer derrire (why I use the zoom g2.1u simulation and amp for recording).
Finally, it's really trsractif the volume knob on the guitar (even if was still at least a big crunch).
Note that channel 2 trs Ragit appear different depending on whether it is on the clean or crunch. My superfield suffers from a default on channel 2 which turns the bass. But suddenly, on a lightweight crunch, it acts as a treble booster, with channel 2 of the dual HT, it's really great to send the solos, we have more gain and sustain and it is very s fluid. I prfre this ulitisation plutt the Dual on the clean channel, which sounds a little too clean, prcis (but may be appropriate for plans trs shred fast, rhythmic or well supported es). The sound is good trs on the neck pickup.
Channel 1 (crunch) I was just over, I find it too stiff. It should trs well for everything ryhtmique rock, but I prfre far the crunch of my fender superfield xd - has nothing to see in terms of sound. Surprisingly, the channel 1 sounds more "harsh" on the humbucker position 3 (single + double).
In addition, the channel lacks headroom (impossible to turn down the gain and turn up the volume to significantly boost an amp dj lights in crunch), which is pretty bad.
Now, in a blues-rock record, the pedals is perfect for progressively add gain (crunch the fender - HT dual channel 1 for channel 2 potato and which sends its big).
OVERALL OPINION
I have the pedals for several months now, I made several concerts, and she is not ready to leave my pdalboard! I bought the satchurator because satriatni fan, but I did not find the height. So when I tried the Dual, I took a slap! it really is a distortion "Swiss knife", trs versatile, and sounds! ca soon to have 3 or 4 distos Different. The rglage EWB can be very useful for exploring new sounds, the coup was rarely around the pedals!
It must be put on the price, but it is largely justified.
I regret:
- The lack of EQ for each channel
- Lack of headroom on channel one (especially clean)
