« A little gem ... »
Published on 01/06/10 at 13:15Pedal analog transistor, announced as typed Old Marshall JTM45. 2 functions, clean boost and overdrive. It has two separate switches so in 2 channels if you want. One for a booster, and controllable rate boost and the other for overdrive with: tone volume drive. Traditional functions in all. Access to the cell impractical. Should any unscrew, and it has very small inside. (Do not do the wild!) Note, the switches close enough to be activated simultaneously.
UTILIZATION
Very simple and intuitive as any overdrive. After it touched on the need to find its beginning sound of course. You catch yourself trying different conbinaison od between boost and saturation of the amplifier od y 'or not really what to do.
SOUND QUALITY
I plug it on a JCM800 with a Gibson SG with microwave angus young in easel. Suffice to say that the vintage card is played! - The side or overdrive distortron engine. Immediately grainy, vintage rock. The sound is very thick and rich bass. (But sometimes even too rich), it must adjust its settings. For my part I use the clean channel on the jcm 800 and I must say that doing saturate and adding the BOR, the result is powerful, a good old Od JTM45 is not stolen ... When I said it sounds like the JTM is the point that I am blind test would be hard to differentiate! My JCM sounds terrible with this little box! I can now juggle between modern and vintage, I marshall all the panel was available that is exactly what I wanted. It couples beautifully with the brand and I think even say anything about qu'utilisée it will never really used as it should .... It really shows almost half volume, the sound is balanced, takes its full extent, especially under low and the sound is clear, audible, pure. The dynamic is powerful, Ca lot of mix! I never sounded like with anything else. Yet od pedals, I've seen it you can believe me! The knobs are effective without being excessive, either. Their beaches are perfect. It ranges from clean boost to a good disto plump for the gain. A bit noisy but what a sound! To tone it spreads in the two extremes that uses very little but it does. - The boost: When it has, it is very effective and can easily be too powerful. The volume increases and the grain becomes much sharper. It adds a bit of gain but very little, mostly volume ca solo acts and fate is! It's really interactive with the floor of od pil hair is what he needed to make a complete massacre!
OVERALL OPINION
It is a very good pedal, very typical, very grainy with lots of body and headroom. It's really a pedal engaging, as its small size as by its sound. I have rarely seen something like this tear! When it is well settled and granted with the amp is really terrible! I used it on other amps, it still sounds the same vein but the best is yet made a Marshal ... If you are a fan marshall, you are looking for a vintage well I think you'll like it.
- The pros: size, character and dual function. Reactivity against the microphone volume.
- The -: Access to the battery too low in some settings, the price
ps: the difference with the version painted by hand? No! Put both cheaper than done!
