Lag with m-audio trigger finger

hey everyone i need some help
there is a small lag between when i press one of the pads and when the sound plays..
im using reason 4.0, i have 2gigs of ram, 2.3ghz 3500+ 64 bit amd processor, usb 2.0...etc...
and this is making it impossible to keep rhythem going and im think that this was a 180$ waste
can anyone help or are experiancing the same problem?

This lag is called latency. if you have the right drivers installed, you can change the latency in preferences in reason
