RME released its MADI Router
At Musikmesse 2013, RME had introduced new ADAT, MADI and AES3 routers. The MADI version is now hitting the stores.
The MADI Router allows for linking MADI devices of any manufacturer and route de signal in a very flexible way, thanks to its digital conversion, signal repeater and MADI signal distribution and merge capacities.
The MADI Router features 4 matrices, each supporting up to 768 inputs and 64 outputs, and the output of each matrix can be sent to any of the 12 outputs, which are independent but symmetrically grouped in four sections (A to D) for easier management.
New in this router are the four MADI TP ports (Twisted Pair) that allow for connecting MADI TP devices over distances of up to 150m.
The MADI Router allows direct control from the device thanks to the front TFT display, four buttons and two rotary encoders. The unit setup is automatically saved and recall in cas of power failure, and you can also store up to 15 presets.
The MADI Router feature redundant power supply and the firmware can be updated via the USB port.
