Pioneer introduces 4 new DJ headphones

Pioneer completes its DJ headphone offer with the new Superior Club Sound range, which features two in-ear and two on-ear models.

The Pioneer SE-CX8 and SE-CX9 headphones are two-way in-ear models equipped with the Bass Exciter technology with components installed on the back of the earbud that vibrate in sync with the beat. The SE-CX8 features a dynamic driver, while the SE-CX9 includes a Balanced Armature Driver. Both models offer a detachable cable with built-in microphone and remote control for use with a smartphone and you can choose between three sizes of soft silicone ear tips.

The SE-CX9 is available with a unique Black finish, while the SE-CX8 presents three Bright Silver, Indigo Black and Bright Copper colors.

A few specifications:

SE-CX8: Frequency response from 4Hz to 30kHz, 16 Ohm impedance, 100mW max input level, 102dB/mW sensitivity, 9.4mm driver

SE-CX9: Frequency response from 6Hz to 25kHz, 20 Ohm impedance, 100mW max input level, 101dB/mW sensitivity

 

The Pioneer Superior Club Sound range also feature two circumaural headphones for DJs.

The SE-MX9 is the flagship model in this new family and includes two new 50mm drivers. The 1.2m cable with built-in microphone and remote control can be detached and replaced with 2m coiled cable. A 1/8” to 1/4” plug adapter is also included. The technical specifications of these headphones are the following:

  • Frequency response: 6Hz – 40kHz
  • Max input level: 1200mW
  • Sensitivity: 106dB/mW

You can choose between three Bright Silver, Indigo Black and Bright Copper finishes.

 

 

Last, the SE-MX7 is a two-way model featuring four 40mm drivers (two on each side) and a bass controlled located on the left side.

Pioneer adds that the headband shape has been modified in order to expand the contact surface to the head. This headband has a rubber-like finish on the outside and leather-like cover on the inside. As for finishes, Pioneer offers a choice of Matte White, Matte Black, Matte Blue and Matte Orange finishes and just like with the other models of the Superior Club Sound series, the SE-MX7 ships with a pouch, a 1.2m detachable cable with built-in microphone and remote control and a gold-plated 1/8” to 1/4” adapter.

  • Sensitivity: 102dB/mW

No information regarding the price of these new headphones, which should be available in April.
