The French Ircam Institute will launch in June the Ircam TS real time pitch shifter / time stretcher that you can now test for free on Mac OS X.
The Ircam TS uses the proprietary SuperVP vocoder engine for the sound analysis and synthesis and works in real time.
The Ircam TS offers the following features:
- Waveform view of the sound source
- Spectral information display
- Transposition in percentage or scale values
- Time Stretching
- Transient preservation mode for vocal transformation
- Transient Shaper
- Remix option for harmonic and inharmonic signals
- Built-in real time recorder
- MIDI remote control
- Offline bounce in WAV and AIFF 16/32/64-bit formats
The Ircam TS will be available in June for the price of $249. Mac OS X users can now download a free trial version, which is in standalone format and fully functional until June 10th, at store.dontcrack.com. You can also pre-order the final version on the website and a Windows version is expected soon.
