IK Multimedia releases the AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix Anniversary Collection for Mac and PC, loaded with new amp and effect models.

The AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix Anniversary Collection is an expanded and updated version of IK Multimedia AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix software for Mac and PC, featuring new officially licensed models of genuine Hendrix gear. It features 3 new amps and one tape echo:

  • SilverTwelve: based on the Silvertone Twin Twelve 1484, a 60W tube head with a separate 2x12 cabinet, which Hendrix used in the early part of his career.
  • JH Gold: based on a Marshall JTM 45, it is "the" amp that Hendrix used almost exclusively from 1968 on. The new model has been reworked from the ground up, using IK's DSM and SCC modeling technologies, and includes both the Normal and Treble channels, plus fully modeled channel bridging.
  • JH 1200: based on the Sunn 1200, this is a high-powered tube bass head used on stage between 1967 and 1968
  • EP Tape Echo: a model based on the Maestro Echoplex Hendrix used during the recording of Electric Ladyland.

In total, AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix Anniversary Collection features 34 models, including 7 amplifier heads, 7 cabinets, 11 stomp effects, 4 rack effects and 5 microphones.

It is available for €79.99 (ex VAT) but if you already own AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix and AmpliTube 3, you are eligible for a special upgrade for 29.99€ (ex VAT) during a limited time.

IK Multimedia also announces the availability of individual models on the AmpliTube Custom Shop, with prices ranging from 20 to 30 credits.
