Curello is a mix and mastering tool to quickly filter out excessive low and hi-end for a tighter bass and correcting phase issues. Basically, it consists in putting a HiPass filter on the side channel to tighten up the low end and at the same time prepare the audio for both club plays and vinyl production, but while such a process is often done in the mastering stage Curello allows such processing at the mix stage – a technique often employed by aware producers and technicians, according to Noisebud.
Named after a Noisebud user who brought up the concept to the developer’s attention, Curello is available as a donationware (starting $3.30), and a white-noise-riddled demo version is also available at Noisebud’s web site. Beware though, version is Windows 32-bit only (no Mac, no x64).
