SVF-42 does not use FFT algorithm but emulation of analog components instead for the filter section. The Mac OS X and Windows plug-in features 2 and 4-pole high-pass, band-pass and low-pass filters and you can modulate the cutoff and resonance via an envelope follower. You can also trigger this envelope and/or set the cutoff frequency via MIDI notes.
The plug-in includes a single algorithm for the Soft Clip button that you can toggle to push to signal up to distortion.
SVF-42 also offers a MIDI sync LFO for phase adjustment, a dry/wet mix control, a sidechain input for filter resonance and cutoff modulation and a LED VU-meter.
Last, Slicksquare created to VirtualCV inputs that are only accessible via the automation interface in your DAW. Automated parameters are converted into a virtual voltage controlled analog signal (0 – 5V DC) that modulates the filter resonance and cutoff frequency.
The Slicksquare SVF-42 plug-in is available in VST format for Mac OS X and Windows. It retails for $39.99 but until November 15th, you can enter the SVF42LAUNCH promo code in the checkout page on www.slicksquare.com/svf-42.html and get a 40% discount.
