The Pod X3 has a large number of modeling effects and offers a real developping a better compared to the pod XT that I also have. The chorus grew in real terms compared XT even though they lack the transparency of certain processors. The choice of effects is broad and allows a wide range of sounds and innovative.
Pod X3 does not yet have editing software that promises Line 6 for mid January 2008. However, the edition is fairly simple after the indispensable reading the manual. The LCD has grown and now allows you to view and access the various treatment units. Many parameters but the ergonomics t think much and can be reached without taking head.
Pod X3 offers supplment an XLR for a mic and be a SPDIF output in addition to the USB port.
In addition, the X3 offers, without the acquisition of additional packages, a wide range of bass amps and preamps voice or gnralistes. Pluot it works well and is very convenient.

UTILIZATION

The manual is clear and the edition is fairly easy with the new display and visualization of synoptic treatment. I have no problems after reading the manual, which is a must. It's pretty quick also.

SOUND QUALITY

I t pleasantly surprised by The variety and quality modeling. Compared to the XT there is improvement in both quantity that quality. The metal must be more satisfied because the choice of modern amplifiers is much broader and no purchase options. The dynamic progress and overall I think my guitar parts more clearly and naturally fit in my mix. I use it with my electric guitar or acoustic, with my bass, or microphone for voice, or else with synthesizers or drum machine. All the many amp simulations are also Russians, but overall there is much to find something to meet every need and it is pleasing to the ear.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a month and I am generally satisfied. That said I do not make a scene and it is only with a home studio use when entering a mixer.
I like this between micro that provides additional flexibility and allows you to record very soon we plan in the head or under your fingers. The 2-channel guitar can be more so if one is careful with the choice of models.
The price quality ratio seems favorable but I did not test all other models of competition. Line 6 simulations seem more realistic than the simulation or MSOC Digitech that I used and they are constantly growing.
I would do this choice without qualms. An excellent Swiss Army knife, I'd like to test it in live situations when even.
