This is a very serious course, in fact the first of its kind that the New College Nottingham will open in September in the UK.
Heavy Metal will become an academic course starting next september in the UK, just like jazz or classical. Students attending this course will attend heavy metal history classes, how it relates to religion, its role in video games and more. Music theory and practices will also be part of the course, with recording sessions, stage performance, etc.
This is a two-year course rewarded with an academic diploma. During the second years, students will travel through the UK for several gigs.
The first year scholarship is £5750, the price of the second year is still to be confirmed.
