Thread MV-8800 vocal recording

I recently purchased an MV-8800 for the primary purpose of beat making. I also saw that the company advertises the vocal recording and post production on it. So I would like to know if the quality is any good from people that have experience with it. I have a studio at my house with a real booth. I will be recording hip hop on a AT-4040 mic. The other option that I have is to record vocals through my MacBook Pro (Logic Pro) as I purchased Presonus Firebox preamp previously. Comparing the two options to record vocals, what do you think that the optimal solution would be yielding me highest quality?
