I was wondering if there was a way i could slow down an acapella so i can mix it with an instrumental without messing up the acapella or screwing the acapella. Please help.

slowing down a track is risky.
if you have to slow it down a little bit, then you might get away with it, but slowing too much really makes it sound like crap.

as ra7or said, if you slow it down (or speed it up) too much then it'll sound strange.
Why not use a program like ableton to do it - once you've set it up correctly it should keep it all in time for ya.
I've posted a simple audio tutorial on Ableton Live by James Zabiela here - Djiing with Ableton Live.
Otherwise do it offline and then mix it down to an mp3 to play live, as a premixed track (not mixing the instrumental & acapella live).
