I want to play live and record each instrument into a separate track on cool edit pro 2.0. THat way I can go back and adjust the volumes, ect. Is this possible? If so how do I do it?

yes, but you need a sound card that can accept more than one source...

or a usb interface...

stuff on that page^^^


a few of them allow you to record 10 tracks at a time, so then you can mix with cool edit
