Thread tuning drums to a samples (or songs) key (for making hip hop)

hi... i heard 'reason nn-xt' automatically tunes your drum loop to the same key as the sample your working with(apparently mannie fresh does this)... i only have the korg triton extreme and a multitracker so i would have to do this manually...
but how would i go about starting this process?..

also do you guys tune your kick drum to your bassline or do you just find kick drums and bassline that go together already with no need to edit...
