At 3 motors effects is not too bad but damn two adjustable parameters which is frankly inadequate. In detail:
Positive
_ The delays sound good, with the bpm is callent (very handy), I used a lot even with a microphone (didgeridoo)

Negative
_The Compressor and distortion, at the same time with two settings is a normal can, you get fast enough to sound too aggressive satration is quickly

J would also like to say that this smart media sd will also help to save all the work so you can change machine keeping all these sonspatterns.
What are the characteristics of the sequencer?
For me the big highlight of the machine from the modulation. We do everything on the fly no need to stop the machine that is the component of the rhythm, melody or record automation and AC is very very good! especially live. There is also a function of rec step that creates the melody more présicement step quite effective and absolutely no making head.
LFO
On modulation such is simple and effective (the part that I prefer on ESX). It syncs the bpm. 4 more available form of a random wave. You can play on the pitch, the amplitude and the cutoff and personally I think with two or three on the lfo automation and resonnance filter is used in two minutes something likeable!
The filter part
Three possible filter lowpass highpass filters and the band walking in them but not bad on the envelope say it is lightweight ....
Strength.
For me a big weak point at the main knurled on a lot of electribe becomes painful to use. The key can also meet qq bp mutate but zn prennant care of the bike I've ever had personal j ... pb and I want to point out that it is possible to remmettre ca en route by removing and adding the lil of aluminum to contact ... the tutorial are online and it works

UTILIZATION
C is SUPER SIMPLE! we leave these ultra fast own sounds
Automations are the fly and it's a real treat to play with (a note here from the older model the no unlimited automations huge plus!)
The LFO can be used very simply as said above
Loops can be played three different ways
Normal rhythm as a part, not at all practical
Stech in hand, ie your loop calle bpm and change the pitch n afecte not the length of the loop just height
And slice, ca can only play certain piece of the loop on what their time of need "cut" the sample. on the other hand you can then assign each piece cut from a classic rhythm, which will dramatically increase the number of sounds available on the machine!
The reverse function is effective even for the roll function.
The arpeggiator I did not like the use with synth by ca cons can really have fun with live rhythm especially coupled with the roll function
Personal I used a lot of MIDI (I had three korg) once again very simple and well built, ultra-convenient to copy from a machine other al a melody, or live add "layers" has a synth. I said, I liked what I played on the ESX automatically plays the blue to add textures. With the korg is very simple, no bug, the midi channels are not fixed (unlike Roland eg)
In short, the use is really facing live everything is accessible and it is super simple and intuitive
I also used this machine with a microphone for a didgeridoo and LFO sync to bpm and I was very pleased that the delay. Add lamps ca .... I've never seen anyone use this machine as a module effetLFO and I assure you that it can be terrible!
SOUNDS
Well then these machines really their sound is nervous and ca punch is what makes them so charming. on the other hand difficult or impossible to get out of this format. The EMX has the same feature but even when and much more malleable and textures a little richer. I think in fact the sound of both machine and especially that of theX matching rather poor and sorely lacking roundness and depth
on the other hand lamps really allows to improve the overall sound quality and adds more punch to the machine.
Needless to say, if you search for a realistic sound which is not here to look for!
OVERALL OPINION
I use ESX for 6 years and I think I have done the trick. Tired of the sound and the overall lack of precision I turned to Roland and there is no photo ...
I would suggest this machine for a beginner or so for people who want to have some fun soon. In any case do not expect sth out a very successful
The weak point here is the internal memory of 280sec what I say is a bit ridiculous for a sampler. The it's still a very big mistake from korg and they could at least have the correct versions bp with SD that has not even been made, all this is somewhat scandalous
Otherwise, even when I really had fun with this machine we create everything quickly at the expense of accuracy ....
I certainly would not buy nothing new .... to 300,350, you can buy a MC 808 is a much better machine, although more complicated and more rigid (which is a shame for live)
I would add that if you hesitate between ESX and EMX in your place I jump on his blue sis has 5 synth part that can grind much more. If the internal memory was a hundred times greater then the matter has there again but with the unfortunate 280 seconds in total.
