Channel 60's if I am correct (not a log but a bit more for my Stratocaster or so a bit more profile)
2 volumes / 2 tonanlités / 3 position selector
Pickups 490R / T
Simple varnish leaving Telex / Facsimile beautiful mahogany guitar, key pallisandre. The handle does not catch even sweating, it glides well ^ ^
UTILIZATION
The handle is very nice to me, it acroche not the manufacturing quality is there. Access to acute is easy as all SG.
For sound, you plug away and it sounds!
9 because I put the guitar still manages completely deregulated!
SOUNDS
This guitar is suitable for the big rock to blues.
For heavy metal no problem either, according to what is of very great sounds all depends on the amp and pedals eventually, but the microphones Oringin have an output level sufficient and are not EMG. It depends what you plug in, but all lamps in an amp no worries enchainer of Led Zep, AC / DC, Guns, blues will be short of the 60 to 90 years easily.
Personally, the only downside I found the neck pickup a little too "boat" in terms of its sound. A 498 would have been more appropriate I think "out of box" or a set Burstbucker more in the spirit SG I think.
I also changed the pickups for classic 57/57 +.
OVERALL OPINION
This is my main guitar. I changed the pickups for classic 57/57 +, redid the electronics by putting condos best qualities (increased tolerance) and rewire in type 50's. And above all I shielded the cavities! On this model, no trace of a shield not even a shot of bomb ...
After a good setting in a luthier, I rediscovered my SG which seems to be rising a notch, the tone Bonton react much better than before the race the volume pot.
Magré its pickups a bit impersonal, the SG is one of the best quality / price of the brand! Microphones, one finds easily on occasion and welding wire are more mass ... sprague orange drop the condos we find a tolerance for 2 € J.
Frankly, unless she likes guitars with 1kg of varnish / lacquer, this is a real Gibson SG, a real SG with a look that leaves no one indifferent when it is removed. Buying a quiet and a good basis for an upgrade!
I put 9 because nothing is perfect, and others prefer a more specialized level guitar pickups without wanting to take a soldering iron or spend a few hundred dollars more.
