So mine is 1973, US-made course
I bought it for ACCESS to a reasonable price (700 euros) but a passage was essential in the luthier (electronic dusty and especially one of the previous owners had filed the frets almost to the wood, for a purpose that m escape a little) so about 200 euros more but the result is worth the expense
Otherwise the specifications are applicable to units of the time ..
obviously the appearance is that of a guitar and some thirty years served, but personally I think it gives it an extra charm ...
UTILIZATION
The handle is a delight, a bit thinner than my Start with still a good grip (I have no hands lumberjack either ..)
I think we can consider that it is fast, although I find the term a bit ridiculous, with excellent access to acute, but it's not really a guitar shredder (it is written much like this? ) I have nothing against these people, and it is for everyone, but this guitar is, in my humble opinion, more a game for a little "roots" that tapping with both hands as typing, share the nuances it allows. well, it's a personal opinion and not allowed .. and then tie the extra lights does not really suit him, it was not designed for it ..
very slight, lean a little towards the head (quite large on the models of the time) but nothing really annoying
SOUNDS
This is the most interesting, of course.
from the first notes, instinctively, I took to play some piece of doors, and even at low volume, without any preliminary adjustment, it sounds the fire of God!
I play either on an old Marshall tube or directly into a multi track depending on the circumstances, and in both cases, the magic is there (a little more with the amp anyway)
micro grave is accurate, with just enough of drooling for good rhythmic blues not too clean, for example ..
in the bridge position, it is a wonder! with distortion moderate, we obtain an expressive and impressive finesse a bite .. hard to describe but instantly recognizable!
Once revised, the pots volume settings allow for enough, especially in the second half of the race
OVERALL OPINION
I use it for a year or so, but I really like that since his time at the maker a few months ago (I think that buying a guitar of this age, it's a budget that 'there should be anyway.)
This is an authentic instrument, which makes you faithfully what you put into the qualities and defects.
at a cost of less than 1000 euros is a bargain in my opinion, even if it is obviously not an insignificant sum for most of us ..
say that the price of two cake-it was an instrument of high quality and designed to last, proof!
