I have the Gibson SG standard since I started guitar because it belonged to my father. It dates from 1972 (around). The same pattern is now nine over 1600 Euros
The body of the guitar is mahogany with a veneer red / burgundy (color a little sleep) translucent. The neck is mahogany with a rosewood fingerboard.
The pickups are two humbuckers (original model) brand gibson (AlNiCo). These pickups are the same as those on Mount Gibson Les Paul. Their references are 490R and 498T (reference current I do not know if he used dj era the people?).
There is a 3 position selector, 2 volume and 2 Tone POTENTIOMETER (1 micro!).
My model is also equipped with a vibrato legacy (note the holding of the agreement!).
The finish of this guitar is impeccable (it's gibson!), All accessories are quality (mechanical clutch, bone nut, ...). The handle al of this model is not very broad and rather rounded, which gives a comfortable touch of the game but the rest trs rock all the same. Current models of Gibson SG std I've tried have a handle bcp broader patent and a non-translucent.
In the spirit of the guitar there is nothing wrong about CHARACTERISTICS.
UTILIZATION
The handle is round and narrow and comfortable enough to ACCS Acute correct.
But this is not a handle made to Steve Vai and co ...
No problem to play sitting or standing. It is not too heavy and chamfers are places.
Obviously we obtain easily the typical Gibson: warm, living, excellent ...
OK so comfortable and (in style) nickel.
SOUNDS
Without plugging the instrument, we see already his strong acoustic mahogany BRINGS roundness and warmth to the sound.

In the clear is always very warm and the limit of its crunch. By varying the tone and volume is obtained from its magnificent jazz and blues.

I put "only" 9 / 10 SG 10/10 because I'll put the Les Paul ... both are good but there's qq Difference prfrer that make me the Les Paul.
