Cardioid microphone static.
Used to couple the sound of live vocals, it took very little noise off-axis, while being sensitive to noise in the axis.
OVERALL OPINION
Little used because it does not belong to me (sniff), I used this about 5 or 6 times.
I love the sharpness and grain emerging from the microphone, not to mention the high output ...
I had not tried many other pickups, but I hear from others that they prefer the Neumann KM184, but I prefer the Sennheiser sound.
So I think the price / quality ratio is very good (considering the K6 power module costs extra but it can be used without phantom power...)
If I could I would make the same choice, but more importantly, I look forward to buying a couple with K6 power modules!
