The new AMS Neve 1073 DPX is a 19” 2U rack module and hosts two independent 1073 preamp/EQ circuits with input and output genuine Neve Marinair transformers.
The preamp includes mic, line and DI inputs on the front panel and switchable mic/line inputs on the rear. A new feature on this version, a pre/post EQ insert loop allows for integrating the 1073 DPX into your digital audio setup, add external processors, etc.
As for the control, the 1073 DPX comprises phantom power, ground-lift, –20dB and High/Low impedance switches so that it you can directly plug your guitar or bass. You also get a 3-band EQ, independent output levels and a monitoring section with headphone output and volume knob, so that you can listen to output 1, output 2 or both. 7-segment LED VU-Meters are available on each channel, they allow for monitoring the mic/line/DI input, the level at the EQ stage or the output level (up to +24 dB).
AMS Neve will also offer a card for digital connection and conversion (not before mid-2015).
The AMS Neve 1073 DPX will be available late March – early April, its price will be around $4 500.
