Published on 10/19/11 at 14:29I will not repeat the CV of Schoeps MK4 CMC6 +, it is known.
UTILIZATION
For over 25 years that I use the torque CMC6/MK4 (or MK41, MK2, MK5 and MK8). And I used a lot of other small mics membranes. None met the quality of Schoeps. The finesse and balance are outstanding. Neumann KM100 series is the closest in terms of sound, but Schoeps gives a more detailed sound, maybe a little less warm but more upright.
The high quality of Schoeps is to maintain compliance with the stamps when you leave the axis is a rare quality among competitors, which makes the Schoeps very valuable in making couples.
A Schoeps is expensive, but worth the price, and the investment does not lose value over time.
Finally, I find rather odd opinion of SoundRecorder, he certainly had to deal with a broken microphone or preamp (or ears broken?). The couple is THE micro CMC6/MK4 I took with me if I could not pick one.
