Working on recording projects online

I'm new here, but I was wondering if anyone ever does work online...I've seen a few sites (like www.indabamusic.com and they seem pretty useful for finding jobs and other people to record with. I might start doing session work this way but I was curious if anyone has worked remotely like this.
