Thread Problem with Cool Edit

Ok..so heres the bloody deal..lol. I have all my drum trax laid out in Cool edit..everything is looped..but now when i go torecord the guitar trax it seems to fall out of tempo with the drums?!?! So i un-looped all the drums...cut and pasted the drum trax..and still...it starts off fine..but then gradually falls outta step. Any ideas? Is it a looping factor? BLAH! Or should i just use a shotgun on it and call it a day :D Ok...any help would be great..thanx
