1 Someone please help! Need protools help ASAP! tryna record as we type!
Please someone help me figure this out! I have an mbox2 and protools 7.0 and a mac! when I record enable the track, I'm getting a steady signal b4 even speaking. i'm guessing its a hum or something I dunno. my mic is plugged into input 1 and my i/o settings are set to input 1 but I don't understand why I can't loose this signal. it happens everytime i try to record but my friend and I usually play around with it until it works and then evrythings fine. but he's not here right now, and i need to record RIGHT NOW! Please someone help me!

Hi,
Well I don’t know about your mbox2 but I have had a humm more then one time.
And Im not a pro but until one answers your post I have a few ideas you can try.
1. Make sure all unused inputs are turned down.
2. Make sure that your cables are in good working order.
3. Make sure that there it not some other appliance that’s turned on, someplace in the house.
4. Those energy light can make things humm..
