We're recording a DIY promo demo and i wuz wondering wich effect i should use to make the screams sound more agressive , distortion like . I have allready been told to use distressors but we don't want to put so much extra money into it . Were currently just working with a eurorack into PC and Sm57 for vocals . Here is how i would like the vocals to sound like . This isn't just extra gain on vocals is it ?

Yeah, I was gonna say just overdrive the mic at the point of the scream.
Like at the end of Pantera's "Fucking Hosting", that is an overdrivern mic.
