1 Multiple Soundcards
I bought an m-audio adiophile soundcard specifically for my recordings but it only allows me to record two tracks at once. I know my old integrated soundcard isn't really meant for recording but I still want to experiment with it. I was wondering if there was any way to use both soundcards at that the same time so that I can record 3 tracks at once rather than just 2. I am using cakewalk 9. thanks

They may not play together nicely, but then again they might. First, make sure that Windows knows about both of the audio devices. Look in the Device Manager. In Cake 9, if you look in the dialog box off the menu bar where you select your audio devices, you should see both there. If not, you should be able to add it. Once both are listed in Cake, then it's just a matter of selecting the right source card on the track your recording. I'm not in front of my recording PC right now or I'd be more specific. If you're not getting what I'm saying, let me know and I'll try to be more specific.
