Hello friends,
i am currently a student who is about to take her 'A' level drama studies exam. as i am using sound devising as my exam choice, i am required to design sound effects for my piece called 'sorry, wrong number' by lucille fletcher.
as i am only an amateur in this area, i hope that some of you would be able to help me along and better understand the process of sound engineering and design. your help would be greatly appreciated. thus, i look forward to hearing from all of you soon!
things i would like to know:
1.the very basics of what's what. e.g. how to work a mixer? how to do distortion
2. what software should i use?
thank you and God bless :D

What king of gear do you already have? Are you on a pc or a mac? Have you ever used a mixer before? or a sequencer?
Hello, thank you for replying :D
i'm currently on mac. and am relying a lot on garage band. i've done minimal work on a mixer and i only know the basics.
