I do not return it, the WhatRat explained very well.
I also have 2 color sunburst model, so the body is alder (3 parts)
I never touched the 57 reissue, but it looks a lot like him!
UTILIZATION
I tried the 60's and 50's the following: 2 seconds in the 50's I decided irrevocably!
The one piece maple neck and slight V-gloss I conquered. decidedly, I'm really a fan of the comfort of maple keys. Well, for the varnish is not nitrocellulo, but suddenly, it has the advantage of not sticking to fingers too (try a 52 tele, you will understand ...).
the rest (access to acute, ergonomics ,...) is the standard in standard, everything comes naturally under the fingers, except the vibrato, but that's because I still do not know how m ' use it ...
as to his, well, just plug in and it sounds stratum in the purest tradition.
one small problem though: the mechanical and vintage vibrato, it helps not require the agreement ... but look good for the c, o)
SOUNDS
I was looking for a strat long time, I tried one qques (fender us, including G & L Tribute), and Ben is the one who won it: a scratch I think this has nothing to envy to its large US sisters, we have the Start sound, chattering as they like.
If you like the sound / light crunch to Gilmour, Knopfler, Clapton, Robert Cray and others, try, you m'endirez news! and no need to add tons of pedals, live in a good tube amp, and it is happiness!
on the other hand, if you search for the big sound, go your way, or change the pickups (the violin is really excellent), because the output level and sound of the original microphones do not mix with the saturax.
OVERALL OPINION
It is only 15 days I have, so I will update this notice once the euphoria of the early past. but for now, and compared to my other guitars sometimes 3 or 4 times as expensive (see my profile), well it is really the way!
I love the most: the sound strat par excellence!
what I like least: the holding of agreement (not being a simple adjustment ...)
other models tested: standard and deluxe strat US, G & L Tribute (I carefully avoided the stratum clapton, because I know I would have cracked, even if not compatible with a smile on my banker ...)
Exceptional value for money: bought from thomann for 550 euros!
again this choice? no doubt about it!
