Excellent
Mine is a Mexican-2000s, 21 frets, pickups and fender completely conventional, there are five positions on the switch.
3 knobs classic FLIGHT - HIGH TONE - LOW TONE
I would recommend this guitar to anyone looking for a fender without cheating ...
The excellent mechanical manufacturing (even better than some US Fender!) Oil bath. They are perfect tuning even when I hammer the vibrato (which is a pretty standard fender).
The weak point was the bridges I systematically broke 2 or 3 strings per concert ... (Must say that I attack a little)
In fact I've replaced with bridges made of a material "self lubricating" black (the rope is guided into a V and not sitting on a bar) ... The result is breathtaking: more sustain, and strings that last 3 months (and especially resistant to attack my marmoset)
UTILIZATION
I made the choice to buy this model: handle a single piece of maple, was certainly decisive is truly a miracle sound ... sustain and harmonics crazy rich ... I use it on a tube combo and I get a crunchy sound to perfection, like many American blues-rock fat (brad gillis type), the sound is clear slam (enough funk-soul as I like to vaughan ) ... along with many round (because I often use the middle position pickup + microphone central) ...
If the freight stop at 21 is quite sufficient to play the same solo (I do) and you quickly forget this is after all still regrettable (a cargo of more would have been welcome, but ...
Easy access to the latest freight and it does it well for bends
SOUNDS
It is suitable for any type of sound, it is certainly the versatility of the fender that made them famous ...
Blues, Funk, Reggae, HardRock, I would say the same metal ..... yes yes, to do some burst, so try to plug it into a good amp models (black box type) or an outright Mesaboogie and ring the distortion for a laugh!
OVERALL OPINION
A love story:
it's been four years since I've done and it was an accident, I was looking for a backup guitar for live: My keyboard player at the time was heavily insisted I take a fender (I was rather to alergies standards and since my youngest age guitar, I never wanted to take if only for the form: archivue - archirépandue) I finally opted for this model (super cheap: $ 200 at Steve's MTL) ... In fact, I was staggering and it really was love at first sight ... Since then, my Ibanez JEM series limited to 12,000 bullets remained in the closet until I decide to part with it altogether, because since I do not play more exclusively on the Fender ...
Value for money is excellent!
If I had to buy a Fender guitar that would be one (but with more boxes) equipped with Lace Sensor pickups Fender Start Style ...

At issue is strength in Mexico: I have a Jazz Bass, which was inadvertently remained on the roof of the car (in a single cover) and was traveling at approx. 70 Km / H when we heard a strange noise scratchrrrrrr - oh you lost a hubcap I says to my friend: it was low and not: believe it: just two pets on the body, not a only abnormality sound after shock, handle nickel for 4 years! then: not strong, fender mex??
