Guitar Made In France (Bédarieux) in 1995 regarding my model (the color of the head matched the color of the table, unlike the following series natural maple).

Basswood body, maple neck bolted, rosewood fingerboard, Floyd Rose licensed by Schaller, 24 jumbo frets.

Two settings, volume and tone.

Three microphones: a Seymour Duncan Custom Custom TB11 in the bridge position, an SH1-N 59 'in the neck position and a single vintage microphone in an intermediate position + 5 position selector.

Everything you need to properly defend himself!

UTILIZATION

The handle is a highway! The left hand is always comfortable, fast play enabled without problems with access to acute Hell, on a constant lag.

The most surprising on the right hand. I have a Rockline Standard 1990, and it is clear that the right hand is far more comfortable on the Metal Master: The strings are closer to the table on this latest model, and the palm of the hand is better positioned vis-à-vis the table and the strings. A fabulous comfort that I compare it to how I feel about my Lag Arkane Absolute is for me an absolute references in comfort.

She was a master luthier refrettée with Dunlop jumbo frets 6000 (similar to original ones), the result is clear: everything becomes easier! The sound comes out of there with ease, the bends fuse and everything is allowed!

The body is that of a superstrate, perfectly designed for the comfort of the guitar, while the balance is perfect. It's a fairly light guitar, basswood is a less dense woods such as mahogany.

A guitar that well reconditioning, gives you a very beautiful feeling and the impression of having always played it!

SOUNDS

Possessing several guitars (including 3 Rockline!), They are more or less dedicated to a particular type of music.

I use it to play because its sounds Hard-Rock/Heavy Metal counseling is particularly. The lime can have a nice shine and a nice presence through the mediums of rain it gets. The sound is decidedly 80's / 90's, and the pair of Seymour Duncan humbuckers (TB11, 59 ') magnify the sounds typical 80's guitar. Playing in a group showing of Iron Maiden, the sound provided by this guitar on a good Marshall tube is perfectly suited to the style! A delight. That said, with a good EQ and amp, this guitar can adapt to any style because it is versatile, while still having the character. The output level of the humbuckers is very interesting for liabilities. Less than péchus EMG active (do not push it either!), But more than enough to turn up any amplification stage. In addition, the sustain is quite good for a guitar with a FR and a handle screwed, but this mind-blowing is the feedback! The note can last for hours without starting a spin is a pure joy! Impressive. Simple when the microphone to him is anecdotal. If I wanted to use the simple send, I buy a Stratocaster ...

Obviously, there is no perfection that takes (a little more bass would have been wise), but it is a superstrate in mind shred 80's / 90's. And it excels in this area!

OVERALL OPINION

I use for some months now. I have gained in price (though you hold) to 200 euros ridiculous, because the previous owner had done some cool top (curvature of the handle in the cabbage and refrettage required). Having tried my hand these tweaks needed (400 euros anyway), I now has a gem in perfect condition (FR is nickel) with a new fabric for $ 600.

Knowing the brand by heart, I did not need to compare anything. That said, if I were to rank my lag is this:

1st Arkane Absolute (unbeatable)
2nd Rockline Metal Master (it)
Rockline 3rd Light (1995)
4th Standard Rockline (1990)

The first two well ahead of the pack also ...

What I like his character is highlighted by a very good microphone choices, apart from the single central microphone that I am not using (I'm a fan of the HH configuration and that's it!). And of course the handle and comfort provided for the right hand ... No thing bothers me, may be the aesthetic of period paintings in a pinch.

With hindsight, it is a great deal! No regrets, and if it was to do again, I would do it without problem!
