Perri Ink guitars will now ship with the new Perri Ink Label Seymour Duncan pickups. They are slightly overwound PAF-style models based on the 78 Model. The bridge pickup is described as warm and vintage with added bite and gain. The neck model is more sparkling and will cut through a mix. Two Humbucker ($170) and Mini-Humbucker ($100) versions are available, separately or in sets of two or three.
Now the guitars… The Melrose is a Stratocaster-type, while the South St. is based on the Firebird shape, and both have a reversed headstock. Perri Ink used alder for the bodies, quartersawn maple for the necks and rosewood for the fingerboard. 22 medium jumbo frets have been set, the fingerboard radius is 12" and the scale length is 25.5".
The guitars also share a Mini-Humbucker trio, which will be controlled by a 5-way switch, one volume and one tone controls. A 6-hole tremolo is also present, as well as inline Kluson Vintage tuners.
Both instruments are custom-made in the USA and ship with a hardshell and a certificate of authenticity.
Pricing for the Melrose is $3300 and $3800 for the South St.
