I was looking for a closed headphone for:
- Make my song made by limiting the maximum repisse
- Pr-making mix, work in silence, and so on.
I immediately orient to the REFERENCE found it everywhere all the time say the Sony MDR7506 MDR7506 and the AKG 271 Studio and the Beyer DT770.
I'm all spent a lot of time to shop o they had all costs (Home Studio Paris) and this is my verdict:
- Sony MDR7506: a lightweight headset that clamps a bit but the eardrums, and cousins enjoyable but I prfre velvet against leather but too small for some ears (including mine). Its level, indeed we feel the "bump" in the mediums and I do not know why but its extremely silent "stronger" on the headphone. Impdance not the same? Not the same SETTING THE terminal cost? I do not know. Of a beautiful but low-stro not got my trs spaced.
- Sony MDR7509: I have not had much time to listen to their level and any fawn c'tait when even a little above my budget but the problem of over Cousinet over his little ERRF because they are much larger and better covers the ear.
- AKG 271 Studio: big disappointment. I do not know why but no lower on the test and it comes down MODEL evil is trs dry, rough limit. Also I think it covers your ears hurt and I think There's risk repisse. J'tais dpart party to take it but sometimes my surprise last of my ranking. It would be impossible for me to work the low frequencies with such a headphone ... Reserved j'mets but because I find a really blatant diffrence. A model may be defective? May be precisely because of poorly he closed my ears (less low)?
- BEYER 770 (250 ohm version): good surprise. Dj seller told me immediately that n'tait ncessaire not to listen, I could directly jump on it because he made the comparison adj for its activity own and pay him. In short I am left with trs happy with my purchase so that upon entering the store I did not at all what acqurir MODEL ... my ears have DCID otherwise!
In practice:
- For decision of his is excellent because it is very well insulated and can be used in the cabin while minimizing the effect of repisse.
- To the mix is great for working the low frequencies as it goes down really well and is trsgnreux this level l. The side effect is that a becomes tiring over time. Against it by making so low that tends sub-mixer of the shot. Anyway, I always goes through my real monitor for final inspection.
- For hifi COST: everyone's but I gots my headphone open prfre Sennheiser HD580 for a fast that the effect of confinement of the headphone is closed and less tiring, softer more finesse.
Note the spiral cable on the 250 ohm version (cable standard 80 ohm version) which can be practical or some s'avrer Gnant for others.
An excellent pro headphones for home studio! I highly recommend it!
