need help opening a FL Studio file

Well I started making a song, it has a few .wav files embedded into it....long story short my fl file is about 300mb which is completely ridiculous I know and now when I try to open it it freezes the whole program and now I can't get at it and I would hate to have to start from scratch... any help on this matter?
