Setting Up a Studio Using My Laptop

I have a Dell Inspiron 5150 Windows XP Professional P4 2.8 GHz 512 MB 60 GB HD and Im looking to use Sonar Home Studio as my software with my trumpet, a midi controller and a USB Audio Interface Tscam US 122. Looking to get some direction for setting these up correctly.
