Hi im planning on building a home studio in my basement. Problem is i don't know how. I would like to know about making a sound proof booth. I've heard of auralax, is that all I need to insulate the booth? If so, how many layers? Do I have to insulate the basment floor also? How big is a standard vocal recording booth? How do I or what do I need to do to make sure I can hook up the nessary equipment?

If anyone can answer any of these questions please do so.
