Hey there forum stalkers

I'm a rock / punk musician of 15 years experience finally looking to get a decent home recording studio setup to enable me to make some experimental music. For not very much money.

At the moment I have a lot of instruments and an AKAI DPS12 portastudio. What I'm trying to do is to get a decent spec PC and soundcard to run Cubase. Anyone who can help me with technical specifications for the PC or by recommending good bargain buy soundcards would be much appreciated. I'm looking to spend about US$1000 on PC and soundcard. cheers!
